Terms and Conditions

Our terms and conditions have been set out to ensure all guests enjoy a safe and relaxing time whilst visiting Riverspa Apartments. Please read this information carefully as it contains important information about Events and Corporate Retreats at Riverspa Apartments in Moama.

DEFINITIONS
For the purpose of these terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:

’Hirer’ means the person, people or company hiring the apartments and grounds of Riverspa Apartments complex.

 

GENERAL


CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND THE CONTROL OF RIVERSPA APARTMENTS.


If Riverspa Apartments is unable to provide the facilities or any other arrangements for your event or any part thereof, or to otherwise perform the terms of this agreement and Riverspa Apartment’s failure is due to circumstances beyond its decision or control, Riverspa Apartments is not responsible for any costs, damages or expenses that you may suffer or incur.

CONDUCT DURING THE EVENT/RETREAT


Your event/retreat must be conducted in an orderly and lawful manner.
Riverspa Apartments may terminate your event if we reasonably believe that your event/retreat is not being conducted in an orderly and lawful manner.
Riverspa Apartments has no responsibility to you for any costs, damages or expenses that you may incur in relation to the Riverspa Apartments termination of your event.
Riverspa Apartments may exclude or remove any persons or possessions from your event/retreat or from Riverspa Apartment’s premises.
Riverspa Apartments practices principles of responsible service of alcohol. Intoxicated persons will not be served alcohol and may be removed from the premises.

IMAGERY USE

The Client agrees to Riverspa Apartments use of Imagery via photography/videography post the event and your personal release of same for the sole purpose of marketing Riverspa Apartments in a professional manner. Credits to be acknowledged where possible.

RIVERSPA WAIVERS RESPONSIBILITY FOR:

Any items that have not been collected after the event will be disposed of within seven (7) days.

Theft, damage or loss of any goods brought onto Riverspa Apartments Premises

Any introduction of food and beverage to the event and the effect of thereafter.

LOSS AND DAMAGE TO THE RIVERSPA APARTMENTS PROPERTY


You are responsible for all loss and damage to the property of Riverspa Apartments (including any fixtures, furnishings or goods on or off the premises) caused by or arising from any act or omission by you, your guests or any other persons attending your event.
Refer to the Deposit/Security Bond section in relation to payment of such loss or damage.

It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or to obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years. Liquor License Number: LIQW880014980

DISCLAIMER

The Venue company shall in no way be held responsible or accountable for any injury, death or loss of income caused to the client, guests, any third parties or properties due to the hire of the venue or provided services by third parties.

CORPORATE RETREATS


CORPORATE BOOKINGS

Acceptance of your Corporate Retreat booking is required in writing after details of your corporate retreat ‘content package’ is confirmed by Riverspa.

PAYMENT

Full payment is required 30 days prior to your retreat at Riverspa Apartments. You may book all or part of our 12 rooms (private king or twin single) accommodating a maximum of 24 guests which forms part of the venue hire agreement. $180 (single) or (twin share) per room per night (minimum stay 2 nights).

CANCELLATIONS

All cancellations are required in writing.

Payments are non-refundable for cancellations within 30 days of a retreat.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The Client may cancel their booking at any time, though please note that cancellation fees will occur should the client cancel the booking within 30 days of the event date. No cancellation by the Client is valid unless it has been acknowledged in writing by Riverspa Apartments.
No refund of the Deposit/Bond will be made available.
Bookings cancelled within seven (7) days of the commencement date will be charged 100% of the Content Package.
Bookings cancelled between seven (7) and thirty (30) days of the commencement date will be charged 50% of the Content Package.
Cancellations of bookings/events due to weather shall still be subject to this cancellation policy.

POSTPONEMENT

Should the Customer postpone their event in its entirety, a postponement fee will be determined based on length of notice given from the arrival date and at the discretion of the Riverspa Apartments.

EVENTS


BOOKINGS

Your chosen venue will be held tentatively for fourteen (14) days, from the date Riverspa Apartments accepts your booking.
Confirmation of your booking is required in writing to Riverspa Apartments, and a deposit payment made within fourteen (14) days of making your booking. If a signed copy of this “Terms and Conditions” document and a deposit are not received by Riverspa Apartments within fourteen (14) days, the venue will be released and your booking may be cancelled. Exceptions and extensions may apply at management’s discretion.
Final payment is required to Riverspa Apartments thirty (30) before your event.

RIVERSPA APARTMENTS ACCOMMODATION 

Full payment for the Riverspa Apartments 12 rooms (private king or twin single) accommodating a maximum of 24 guests, forms part of the venue hire agreement. $180 per room per night (minimum stay 2 nights). Total $4320. Please enquire about our 3rd night ‘half price’ offer or mid- week discounts.

Apartment guests and outside vendors are permitted to set up on the day prior to the event and given late check out until 2pm the day after.

DEPOSIT/SECURITY BOND

A $1000 deposit/bond is required within fourteen (14) days of booking. The deposit/bond is to be paid with terms and conditions signed and returned before your booking is guaranteed.
Tentative bookings without a deposit paid and terms and conditions signed will only be held for a period of fourteen (14) days.
Riverspa Apartments reserves the right to release any tentative bookings after the fourteen (14) days.
Riverspa Apartments reserves the right to request a deposit/security bond for the purpose of protecting the property from any damage or loss. You shall protect the venue as reasonable as possible.
Upon inspection post event, if any damage or loss to the property is noted you will be charged at full repair/replacement cost and the cost will be deducted from the deposit/bond amount. If the costs are above the value of the deposit/security bond, these need to be settled prior to your departure.
If no damage or loss to the property is noted, the $1000 deposit/security bond will be refunded within seven (7) days of the inspection date.

PAYMENT

Payments for your event are required as follows:
$1000 deposit/bond within 14 days of booking.
Hire Costs of $4320 accommodation + $2000 exclusive venue hire = Total $6320.  50% [$3160] payment is required six (6) months out and balance [$3160] thirty (30) days prior to your event date.

Services will not be provided without the final payment being received. The $1000 deposit/bond will be refunded within (7) days of completion of the event providing there is no damage or loss to the property. Any additional charges need to be settled on departure.

EVENT DETAILS


You are required to provide Riverspa Apartments in writing particulars of all venues, beverages, entertainment, technical requirements, room set ups, starting and finishing times in connection with your event. These details are required at least one (1) month before your event.
The maximum number of guests permissible is 150 ( please contact us if you require numbers outside this).
You must ensure that nothing is nailed, screwed or adhered in any way to any wall, door or other part of the building unless prior permission is granted by Riverspa Apartments.
The Client must ensure that all entertainment must cease by 11.30 pm and guests will leave the venue no later than 12.30 am on the night of the event.

EVENT CANCELLATION

All cancellations are required in writing.
All deposits / payments are non-refundable.

EXTERNAL SUPPLIERS

Where goods or services are supplied from an external supplier additional terms and conditions may apply, such as additional deposits, earlier confirmation of final numbers or cancellation fees. You are responsible for any fees that may apply in relation to the supplier’s terms and conditions.
Any hire companies attending Riverspa Apartments must provide a certificate of currency for public liability.
Event time line for hire of equipment onto Riverspa Apartments premises is 48 hours prior to the event and removal by 48 hours after the event or by prior written arrangement.

CANCELLATION POLICY

You may cancel your booking at any time, though please note that cancellation fees will occur should you cancel the booking within 30 days of the event date. No cancellation by you is valid unless it has been acknowledged in writing by Riverspa Apartments. No refund of the Deposit/Bond will be made available.

Bookings cancelled between seven (7) and thirty (30) days of the event will be charged 50% of the Venue and Accommodation fees.
Cancellations of bookings/events due to weather shall still be subject to this cancellation policy.

Should you wish to postpone your event in its entirety, a postponement fee will be determined based on length of notice given from the arrival date and at the discretion of the Riverspa Apartments.

PARKING

There is no additional parking at Riverspa Apartments, excluding accommodated guests. A maximum of two (2) cars are permitted per Apartment.
All additional guests must arrive and depart via bus transport only or by agreed arrangement with Riverspa Apartments.
The [transportation] bus  must remain at the venue, in the designated area, during the course of the event at the cost of the client.

In paying the booking deposit, these terms and conditions are binding upon the client/hirer.
